Steps to Facilitating a BLS Class
Students fill out sign-in sheet (page 2 of Roster)
Briefly state what you are going to review in class
Start the video and follow the lesson plan
Make sure students have adequate time to practice until they are comfortable with the mannequins and steps to CPR.
Begin scenarios: Adult, Infant
Review Choking in Adult and infant
Adminster Exam
All forms must be uploaded/Submittted within 7 days
** If doing hands-on Skills, no test is needed. Student MUST bring certification verifying completion of online modules.
Steps to Facilitating a Heartsaver (CPR& First Aid)
Students fill out sign-in sheet (page 2 of Roster)
Briefly state what you are going to review in class
Start the video and follow the lesson plan
Make sure students have adequate time to practice until they are comfortable with the mannequins and steps to CPR.
Begin scenarios: Adult, Infant, or Child (based on the training they signed up for)
Review and Observe First Aid techniques
NO Exam (unless requested)
All forms must be uploaded / Submitted within 7 days
Steps to Facilitating an ACLS Class
*Prior to class, the student must complete the online ACLS Precourse.
*The student must has an active BLS certification
On the day of class, the students must sign in on the roster
Watch the video
Take a break
Practice Airways skills on the intubation mannequin
Watch the Megacode video
Explain your exceptions for the megacode
Begin the megacode. Note* Megacode begins with BLS skills. Each student must play the role of the leader.
Administer the exam after the megacode
All forms must be uploaded / Submitted within 7 days
